COVID-19 is a time of crisis, with many people out of work who are therefore struggling financially. If you’re privileged enough to be employed, and are comfortable or have your needs taken care of, consider donating to these community-based fundraisers.


1. PACE Society’s Sex Worker Relief Fund

This Fund will distribute critical financial relief to sex workers in Metro Vancouver based on need and social marginalization.

2. DTES Response Fund

Funds raised are going to support: DTES SRO Collaborative, Overdose Prevention Society, Muslim Care Centre, and more.

3. Black in BC Community Fund

The funds raised through this GoFundMe page will be distributed in one-time allotments of $150, to Black folks on a first-come, first-served basis.

4. Vancouver Foundation Community Response Fund

This fund will support charities that provide frontline services to people and organizations that are disproportionately impacted by the pandemic and its economic consequences.

5. Mutual Aid Fund for LGBTQI+ BIPOC Folks

This fund prioritizes LGBTQIA+, nonbinary, gender fluid, and gender non-conforming people of colour, and accepts requests from all over turtle island.

6. BC Cancer COVID-19 Response Fund

This fund will provide patients with safe transportation to clinical appointments, delivery of life-saving medication to their homes and accommodation near a cancer centre for those who travel for appointments.

7. Grandview Woodland Food Connection

Funds will be used to purchase healthy food, provide gas, and cover other costs associated with delivering food to our community.
